Easy DYI Body Butter |Homemade In 3 Simple Steps

Easy DYI Lavender body butter will help you keep your skin moisturize all year long with just few simple steps. I started making this butter  after my daughter got diagnosed with eczema, I hated to see her scratching her red irritated skin. After taking to my daughters pediatrician he said to make sure too keep her body moisturize, specifically during the harsh winter months. This has helped her control her episodes and make them less frequent. You will love knowing you made it and that is all natural. This recipe is a great alternative from lotions. If you suffer from dry flaky skin give this heavenly whipped butter a try.

Ingredients you will need:

1/2 cup coconut oil  https://amzn.to/3abfJKW

1/2 cup shea butter  https://amzn.to/3ylXTwS

1/2 cup mango butter

1 tsp vitamin E

10 drops of lavender essential oil (you can omit if desired)

Tools and Equipment:

  • Jars with lids
  • Hand mixer

The process:

In a glass proof bowl measure all your butter and melt at low heat in a double boiler. This step is very important, make sure not heat at high temperature, Mango butter is very sensitive to high temperature and will become grainy. So be patience and let them melt slowly.

Step 1

Once your butters have melted put them in the fridge until it solidify (approx. 5-10)

Step 2

Remove from the fridge and whip at a low medium speed until it reaches buttercream consistency. Make sure to scrap the side of your bowl.

Step 3

Finally add the lavender essential oil and whip for 1-2 min to ensure its well mixed in.

Store in your jars and enjoy!
